Much of southern Manitoba continues to see well below average precipitation, as the majority of low pressure systems that have moved through have brought with them little to no precipitation with most of it falling in northern sections of Manitoba. The weekend ahead will be marked with calm conditions thanks to a zonal flow and slight ridging aloft, partly to sunny skies are expected with little to no precipitation. Temperatures this weekend look like they will be sitting in the high 20’s to the low to mid 30’s, with overnight lows in the mid to high teens. There are signs that this pattern will change early next week with a active storm track possible over the southern prairie provinces. I will have a blog update on Monday about that possible outcome.
