Much of southern Manitoba will be at risk for thunderstorms over the coming days , along with some unsettled weather. This pattern is expected as a area of low pressure is expected to travel through northern regions on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturda: As I write this it is 3:35pm sunny skies are prevelant across the south although smoke from forest fires in northern Manitoba are drifting downwind into southern manitoba. Which continues to be causing poor air quality. A special weather statement is in place because of this we will continue to see poor air quality. We still haven’t reached our day time temperatures for the day so, I’m still expecting them to get into the mid to high 30’s for parts of southern Manitoba. Areas of the southeast part of Manitoba however are expected to only reach the high 20C range.
