Average Spring Weather to start the week .

Southern Manitoba has been stuck in a persistent cold pattern a temperature shift is expected in the coming days .

Warmest day of the week ,Temperatures from 5 to 12C Possible on Monday. Courtesy of a westerly flow taking over and preventing Arctic air from flooding South. Get out there and enjoy this!

A westerly flow looks to take place this week aiding in the increase in temperatures aiding in  a gradual snow melt. Hopefully this is the start of spring weather.

As for Weather this week looks pretty uneventful for the weather on Monday, high temperatures are expected to be from 5-11C winds will be out of the west at 10 km an hour or more.

Expect sunny skies Increasing clouds on Monday Evening . A low pressure system will swing through on Monday night with a chance of showers,  Mostly in the Interlake and Red River Valley with 2-4mm of rain or flurries <1cm expected on Monday night.  The low will be in the 1 to 2°C mark in the east and in the minus single digits in the west.

For Tuesday expect clearing , high temperatures are expected be from 3 to 9C. A few areas specifically in the central region of the province will experience temperatures in and around 0C especially over the Lakes.

Tuesday night another area of low pressure will swing through the central portion of the province allowing winds to shift out of the NW.  Overnight temperatures will reach the freezing mark or slightly below zero. A few localities may remain above zero overnight especially near the American border.

The day Wednesday possibly will be mainly cloudy,  cooler than average but our daytime highs should be in the 0 to 8C range.

Signs are that as we get towards the end of the week winds will shift out of the North. Temperatures look to be cooler than average for daytime highs. Expect lows in and around 0°C or a couple degrees above the freezing mark. . This will be the result of multiple low pressure systems moving through the area allowing for temperatures to rise and drop. There may be some rebound on the weekend but it looks like for the most part we could be seeing a couple of days slightly or a couple of degrees above zero for daytime highs.
