This blog , will be short as I’m getting ready for a move on Tuesday. Regular blog details will resume on Wednesday. Southern Manitoba this weekend looks to be under the influence of a high-pressure system just south of us in the northern plains. Along with another area of high pressure sinking south into northwestern Ontario from northern Manitoba. What this means is a easterly to southerly flow will be in place , allowing for calm weather conditions to continue. A low pressure system will be travelling through the high plains with a large Colorado low impacting the plain states, the high pressure system will prevent us from having any significant weather, though moisture is desperately needed. As a result , expect sunny to partly cloudy skies and temperatures to rise into the mid to high single digits throughout this weekend into next week. (3 to 14C), with the warmest temperatures expected on Saturday. Overnight lows will drop into the low to high minus single digits (-2 to -12C), with the coldest of places expected to be in the Manitoba lakes regions. Temperatures in the low to high plus single digits (3 to 10C) are expected into the beginning of the week.
